Smoked Pork Sandwiches (Thanks Steve!), cole slaw, drinks, condiments, and utensils will be provided.

Please bring some food to share (tell us what you are bringing when you RSVP)
Bring lawn chairs and sunshade (if you have one). Shades must be staked down.
Bring a Patriotic Plane (Red, White, and Blue) to fly.
We need a couple of volunteers to help us set up at 0715, so let us know if you can help.
Buddy Box Training will be available.

CCF’s First Summer Swap Meet
Dear Fellow CCF’ers,
Excitment is rising as we prepare for and anticipate our first CCF Summer Swap Meet. An event flyer has been created and distribute by Mike Hendershot(WebMaster) and Mark Nye(Secretary). Flyer copies have been emailed to membership and Gateway Club Officials. Flyers are also being distributed to Hurrican Hobbies and Jax RC Oulet locations. BOD members have Swap Meet assignments. Each of them will need your help.

Summer Swap Meet – 06/24/2023

The summer swap meet is coming up this month, come out and see us. Bring any items you want to sell or trade and get something new. The field will be open also to fly.
Hot Dogs, Chips, and Drinks will be available.

AMA – Sign 3 Fly Free
If you are going to invite a person to join the club, the AMA has a program called “Sign 3 Fly Free”. If you sign up 3 people and they use your AMA id as a referral you can get you next year renewal for free.

FRIA Remote ID Applications
We have submitted our FRIA application to the AMA who will in turn submit it to the FAA.
Once approved by the FAA, club members will be able to continue to fly at our field without
having to purchase additional equipment mandated by Remote ID. Remote ID is scheduled to
go into effect September 2023.
Club Membership Meeting – 05/13/2023 10AM
On May 13, 2023 at 10am, we will hold a membership meeting at the field. This will also be an EDF fly in day so bring one if you have one. Let’s see how many EDFs we can get in the air at one time.

Membership Report 04/2023
Welcome New Members – Our current membership count is 53!
- JR Head – JR lives in Middleburg and is returning to the hobby after an extended
- absence.
- Bruce Anderson – “Andy” is a previous CCF’er who is also a member of Gateway. His
- primary RC Flying interest is IMAC competition.
- Mike Hendershot – Mike lives in Fleming Island and is new to the hobby. He will be
- training with Rex to get solo certified.
- Peter Craig – Peter lives in OP and is returning to flying after a couple of decade break.
