The purpose of the check flight is to evaluate the flying competency of a new club member or guest.
A CHECK FLIGHT IS NOT A TRAINING SESSION.
To pass a check flight you must demonstrate the following competencies:
- Your understanding of how to preflight your aircraft
- Your ability to take off, fly, and land in a controlled manner
- Your understanding of the locations of restricted flying zones
- THE CHECK FLIGHT IS A PASS OR FAIL DEMONSTRATION FLIGHT AND CAN BE TERMINATED AT ANY TIME BY THE PERSON CONDUCTING THE OBSERVATION
